“My children have attended NHA schools since August 2000. We chose NHA because of the moral focus curriculum and the high academic standards. My children have truly excelled at the hands of wonderful instructors who challenge each child to achieve. There are many after school activities for students that allow them to get to know each other and themselves better. I have truly enjoyed the opportunity to be involved in my children’s education through opportunities as a parent volunteer and as an employee of Burton Glen.”

“I love Burton Glen and every teacher there. I have volunteered a lot in the past and will continue to do so. I know that my grandchildren are safe there. I love Ms. Blakemore. She does everything she can for the children. She gives everything she can all the time for the children. She is my hero. If it wasn’t for Ms. Blakemore and Ms. Barber my grandchildren wouldn’t be there! Thank you all for a job well done! Keep up the good work!”

“As a Burton Glen parent I would like to personally thank the staff of BG for all your dedication, time and support last year. I have a little girl going into first grade this year that attended Kindergarten at BG last year. She was diagnosed with a seizure disorder and has to take medications at a certain time each day. The possibility that she could have a seizure at school along with the side effects a medication such as that could have on a young child was a scary situation that I did not have to face alone. My daughter’s teacher actually took the time everyday to keep a journal of any “events” that occurred out of the normal and sent it home in her backpack. I volunteered in the classrooms a lot and seen how focused and devoted the teachers and staff are at Burton Glen. I am honored my family is apart of this school.”

“My name is Dawn Olmsted Swanson. I have 3 children currently enrolled at Burton Glen. We have been involved with Burton Glen for the past 7 years. I have a son in 7th grade, a son in 4th grade and a daughter in 1st grade. I have one more daughter that will be enrolled in Kindergarten in two years. We are very impressed with the amount of parent involvement that is allowed and indeed needed at Burton Glen. The teachers are the best that can be found anywhere. They are incredibly dedicated, caring, and create a fun learning environment for the kids. I have been very happy with my children’s time at Burton Glen and would strongly encourage anyone with children to send them to Burton Glen.”
“My daughter has attended Burton Glen Academy for the past 2 years now. She started in Young 5’s where she was taught by Mrs. Barrett. I was very impressed as I would watch my daughter come home and read her little decodable books and try to count and add things in the house. She would come home singing a new song every week that would put a smile on my face, even if it was a just about the days of the week or the months of the year. As my daughter got into Kindergarten she was not afraid and she couldn’t wait to have her new teacher, Mrs. Roberts, who she already felt comfortable with because of the activities the Young 5’s and KG class do together. She looked forward to going to class everyday and as the year went by I would see her progress. Mrs. Barrett and Mrs. Roberts are both very good teachers and they took the time with my daughter to help get her ready for the next year. I am very proud to have met them and have them be apart of my daughter’s life. I look forward to meeting and working with Mrs. White who will be my daughter’s first grade teacher. I also look forward to having my other daughter enter into the kindergarten class this fall as well. I know that the Burton Glen Academy Staff will uphold their statement "NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND"!”
Thanks, Mrs. Sarah Franco
